What we collect, and what we do not.

This site has no forms and no lead capture. It measures how pages are used, only if you agree, and gives you ways to contact us. That is the whole of it.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by True North Entertainment, a company based in Florida, United States. We decide what this site collects and why, which makes us the data controller for the information described here.

We are a United States company. UK and EU data protection law still applies to us when we measure how visitors in those regions use this site, so the rights set out below are available to you wherever you are reading from.

What this site collects

Two things, and nothing else.

  • Analytics, only if you accept. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people move through the site. It records a randomly generated identifier, the pages you view, approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic device and browser information.
  • Whatever you send us. If you email or call, we hold that message and your contact details so we can reply. There is no form on this site, so nothing is collected from you unless you choose to get in touch.

We do not run advertising, we do not build profiles, we do not buy or sell contact data, and we do not use your information to target you anywhere else.

Cookies and local storage

Nothing is stored on your device until you accept the analytics banner, apart from the record of your own choice.

Your choice, and changing it

Analytics is switched off by default for everyone, everywhere, not only in Europe. Until you press Accept, no analytics cookie is written and no identifier is stored. Declining costs you nothing: the site works exactly the same either way.

To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings. The banner will appear again on your next visit and you can answer differently.

Who else sees it

Google, as our analytics provider, and nobody else. Google processes the data on our instructions and stores it on servers in the United States, which means your information is transferred outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Google relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the EU to US Data Privacy Framework to make that transfer lawful.

The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs of requests. Those logs are used to run and secure the site, not to analyse you.

Our legal basis

For analytics, your consent. That is the only basis, which is why nothing happens until you accept, and why declining is a real option rather than a formality.

For replying to an enquiry you sent us, our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and where relevant the steps taken before entering a contract.

How long we keep it

Event level analytics data is retained by Google for two months, which is the default setting on this property, after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregated reports, which cannot identify anyone, may be kept longer.

Enquiries you send us are kept for as long as we may need them to pick the conversation back up, so we do not delete them on a fixed schedule. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area you can ask us to do any of the following, free of charge, and we will respond within one month.

  • Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete it.
  • Stop or restrict how we use it.
  • Withdraw your consent to analytics at any time, which is as simple as clearing this site's data in your browser.

You can also complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date below. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not run one.
